The Opportunity
The Research & Early Development department has an opportunity for a talented and motivated undergraduate or graduate student interested in pursing a career in gene therapy for ocular diseases. The intern will gain experience in developing assays and performing in vitro laboratory experiments that contribute to the selection of lead gene therapy candidates for treating human ocular disease indications.What You'll Be DoingPerform in vitro and cell-based assays, ELISA & othersMaintain cell lines in culturePerform molecular techniques such as tissue homogenization, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, qPCR, ddPCR, western blot, immunohistochemistry, and microscopyAnalyze data, prepare study reports and keep organized experimental recordsAssist with other activities as assignedREGENXBIO employees must embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships, and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.What We're Looking ForCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school program or have graduated within 6 months of the internship start dateMust be pursuing a degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Life Science, Vision Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, or related fieldsMust have basic laboratory experience$22 - $26 an hourWhy You Should Apply
