The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Learning & Operational Excellence Intern to join our Manufacturing Operations team. As a member of the highly engaged and collaborative Manufacturing Operations team, you will have the unique opportunity to learn about AAV gene therapy manufacturing and support our operational excellence initiatives at a multi-product, single use facility. You will play a role in leading the establishment of new learning and operational excellence programs to enable the manufacturing operations team to execute their roles successfully and produce quality products for our patients.What You'll Be DoingLead 6S projects in the Regenxbio Manufacturing Innovation Center (RMIC)Perform data analysis to support continuous improvement projectsSupport audit readiness activitiesSupport the creation and coordination of instructor led and on-the-job training in Manufacturing on a variety of topicsAssist in the Learning Management Systems (LMS) administrator by reporting training dataIt is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.What We're Looking ForCurrently attending a college or university majoring in a science or related fieldProficient in MS OfficeGood organizational skills with the ability to work on several assignments simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsInterns must adhere to all federal and/ or local regulations, laboratory health and safety procedures, and all company SOP’s policies and guidelinesManufacturing work will be conducted with some exposure to chemicals and biologics in a biosafety level 1 area requiring personal protective equipmentMay be required to stand up to3 hours in a 8-hour workdayMust be able to work in a shared manufacturing cleanroom environment with GMP gowning$22 - $26 an hourWhy You Should Apply
