The Summer Internship Program at Bangor Savings Bank is a temporary employment assignment generally 12 weeks in the summer. It not only gives professional training and development opportunities, but it is a meaningful and rewarding experience.
• Interns are assigned to a department from June to August for 12 weeks
• Internship is project-based, and interns will deliver a capstone project and present to the bank leadership
• All Bangor Savings Bank Internships are paid
• Partner with Maine Career Catalyst (ME) and Stay Work Play (NH) to provide educational and networking opportunities
• Meet various Key Leaders of the bank each week and explore different areas of the bank
• Interns are encouraged and invited to participate in paid volunteer or community service projects with the Talent & Diversity team
• Interns may participate in a special bank-wide project and compete in the Intern Olympics at the end of the Internship

You must be a current college student in positive academic standing. As an intern, you will perform job duties to support your department and will work on an assigned strategic project to apply your classroom knowledge to a real work assignment. Internships are temporary employment assignments generally 12 weeks in the summer or an academic semester. This is not a benefits-eligible position. All BSB Interns are compensated at the Bank’s current living wage rate.
Bangor Savings Bank will work with interns and their college or university to comply with reasonable requirements if academic credit is requested.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform responsibilities and duties for the assigned department where you can apply classroom knowledge and showcase learned skills.
Accomplish the completion of the assigned Project and present deliverables to a panel of Bank Leaders. The project must have defined objectives, learning goals, and specific outcomes. The intern will complete a 1-2 page executive summary of work/recommendation with a 10-minute oral presentation.
You will work with a supervisor and team members to integrate into the department and BSB’s culture. Collaborate and build relationships with other interns, bank leadership, and other departments.
Participate actively in the BSB Intern experience coordinated by the Talent & Diversity team to deliver a high-quality learning and work experience. You will be responsible for establishing a relationship & communicating with the Bank Intern Coordinator.
Submit an internship evaluation to provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement to the Bank’s internship program.
