To ensure broad-based experience and development, the Summer Legal Intern will have broad-based practice area exposure , including: + Employment + Real Estate + Immigration + Compliance + New Markets + Marketing + Governance + Litigation + Commercial Contract ing Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities : + Work with attorneys to address and support ongoing compliance and corporate matters ; + Review and negotiate commercial contracts under supervision of attorneys ; + Conduct legal research in support of ongoing operations and strategic initiatives ; and + Attend meetings and support engagements with BJ’s business teams to understand and drive practical solutions to their legal requirements. Qualifications : + Personal integrity, tact, excellent discretion, and the ability to handle highly confidential/sensitive information appropriately ; + Good judgment and professionalism; + Excellent work ethic ; + Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills ; + Ability to explain legal issues clearly and concisely ; + A ctively enrolled in a Juris Doctorate studi es program at a top law school ; top 30 % of class strongly preferred ; + Ability to work a hybrid schedule with mandatory in-office days in Marlborough, MA (M&F remote; T-Th in office); and + Ability to maintain an 8am- 5pm work schedule (for both in-office and remote days) . Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
