Summer Internship Program 2025 - Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern
Overview Job Purpose The ICE Internship Program offers a dynamic experience that combines on-the-job training with exciting team projects, community outreach, social events, and professional development sessions. You’ll have the chance to build meaningful professional relationships and sharpen your interpersonal skills, all while making an impact. The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern will work with Systems Analysts, Development, and Quality Assurance experts to learn QA processes and test automation. You will learn to understand the business, product, and system requirements and test scenarios respectively. This knowledge of the applications and process will allow you to help build or modify automation frameworks.  Working with senior team members, you will learn how to maintain these frameworks by following current standards. Responsibilities Learn and work with industry leading test automation tools: Cypress utilizing JavaScript, Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), Micro Focus LeanFT, and Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and other API testing tools Learn testing in a multi-tiered based architecture featuring Java and JavaScript architectures (JavaScript architectures tested will include extJS, JQuery, Oracle APEX, and ReactJS) Gain experience with iterative and Agile software development methodologies. Develop the necessary skills to perform troubleshooting of software and hardware configuration problems Develop critical testing skills and work side by side with an experienced QA team Experience participating in all aspects of a full-life cycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes Contribute individually or as a team member to support functional areas, analyze business processes, and achieve assigned by an experienced manager Engage with business partners and contribute to projects that drive significant value Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge and Experience Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and be at least advancing to their junior year of study, with a major in Computer Science / Information Systems Demonstrable proficiency in at least one of Java, JavaScript, Python, or VB related languages Demonstrable knowledge of SQL Queries Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills Previous exposure to Quality Assurance or Financial Trading environments is a plus Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills Possesses effective computer skills, with a solid working knowledge of MS Office Internship Program Schedule Internships start on either May 12, 2025, or June 9, 2025, and run until August 1, 2025. Interns should be available to work full-time, 5 days a week, at our Atlanta office.
