EMSL is seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern in Carle Place, NY location. This role will support the front office team by performing sample preparation. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive environmental samples and log-in/data entry Chain of Custody into LIMS system
Inspect samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromised
Generate analytical reports and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready report.  
Reports are generated in the priority in which the lab manager assigns them
Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, mailing, etc. as necessary
Assist with customer services client questions via phone, e-mail and/or in person 

Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent
Must be proficient in MS Office and typing
Excellent communication and computer skills
Excellent customer service skills – customer service experience is a plus
Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Must be able to prioritize work assignments

Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
Tuesday to Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Training to start will be Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

This is a seasonal position, we are looking for interns to start at the end of May/beginning of June and to work through August. 

Pay range for this position is from $17.33 to $19.92 per hour.
