**Overview** Pillars of Hermantown Assisted Living is offering a paid RN Summer Student nurse internship for up to 10 -11 weeks (May- Aug 9, 2025) at our growing Senior Living/memory Care in Hermantown, MN. Nurse Interns will be mentored one-on-one with a registered nurse to gain hands-on nursing experiences to improve your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills with geriatric patients in Assisted living/Memory Care. Nurse Intern will be expected to work a minimum of 48-64 hours/two weeks and could work more if desired. Day Shifts, 8 hours each, weekends as needed. Come join our team of dedicated employees who share in our mission to help our seniors heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, more significant lives! **Responsibilities/Job Description** **There's so much to gain:** + Real-world experience under the guidance of RN mentors at Ebenezer's Pillars of Hermantown Assisted Living/Memory Care + Hands-on experience in a variety of areas, including patient assessment, interventions, care planning, med cart cycle fills, assistment with some treatments for patients, adls, etc. + May manage or pass maintenance medications under direct supervision of RN (if location/policy allows) + Opportunities to shadow RN and other various health care professionals in a variety of roles and patient care settings + Opportunities to increase self confidence in patient care + **Preferential status for employment as RN** with MN Largest Senior living Operator, in our Assisted Living or TCU/LTC upon graduation **Qualifications** Qualifications: + Current Ebenezer employee + Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN/BAN RN nursing program - graduating Dec 2025 or Summer/Sept 2026 + Applicants will have completed junior year and finished two nursing RN clinical rotations by start of Summer nurse internship and cannot have active RN licensure. + Current BLS/CPR for healthcare providers cert. by start date and remain current through August 2025. + Able to attend required orientation days and on-site nursing orientation during their first week (typically 4-5 days likely at the end of May/beg of June 2025) and work the full 10-11 weeks + Able to work a minimum of 48 hours in two weeks + Able to work with a diverse population of geriatric patients and coworkers + Ability to communicate effectively with empathy and kindness for others + _Desire to grow with Ebenezer and pursue a new graduate RN role with our organization_ + If you accept a Summer Nurse Intern job offer, then must enroll/finish a Internship course at a MN based college nursing program Summer 2025 + _Preferred Minimum_ 3.0 GPA + _Prefer:_ previous experience working in a patient/resident support role **Need help finding the right job?** We can recommend jobs specifically for you!
