Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a summer intern. This position will start in May or June and end in August. You will be introduced to a variety of areas within the Construction, Maintenance and Repair company. For the position you will need to travel to various jobsites and much of the work will be performed near Worcester, MA. Some work will be on weekends or late afternoons. Basic experience with swimming pool pump/filter equipment is preferred. What you’ll do: + Perform cleaning and inspections of aquatic filtration equipment at various public swimming pools, splash pads and fountains. + Report back to your supervisor with any issues you discover. + Troubleshoot issues on your own, depending on experience. + Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of projects as directed by the Crew leader, Foreman, or Supervisor. You will be given proper OSHA training prior to any work at a site. + Perform various physical tasks as assigned including carrying or moving equipment, setting up equipment, and assisting team members with demolition or installations + Handle physically demanding construction duties + Prepare tools and materials for skilled workers + Clean and prepare specific areas of jobsite as assigned. + Clean jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored + Travel in company vehicles to pick up or deliver equipment or parts as needed. + Work around our shop as needed to keep organized and clean. + Perform other related duties as assigned What you will bring: + Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field + Students with 2 years of course work completed are preferred. + Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills + Work effectively in a team environment + Ability to effectively organize, manage and coordinate multiple assignments. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite + Must have a valid driver’s license + Must have steel toe boots.
