The KC Adventure Camp Lead is primarily responsible for managing the adventure camp programs of Kidder Creek Camp this includes supervising counselors, teaching and mentoring, and coordinating logistics to ensure a fun, safe and God glorifying camp in a manner consistent with MHA’s Mission, Vision and Values.
General Qualifications:
The Kidder Creek (“KC”) Adventure Camp Lead is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) and KC’s specific mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Implement the Adventure Camp programing and scheduling as presented by KC Leadership for elementary, Jr High and High School campers. Lead counselors and campers by clearly communicating responsibilities and needs to all staff. Lead staff meetings, program activities, and campfire times. Ensure the safety and organization of all staff and campers in Adventure Camp. Conduct middle and end of summer evaluations for the program and all supervised staff. Prepare, lead, and equip counselors in their daily activities and programs. Attend all staff meetings and events. Work in partnership with Camp Hope Leaderships during Camp Hope weeks. Share in the responsibilities of keeping camp areas including cabins, living areas, workspaces and supplies clean and orderly. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
