** We will be hiring a summer photographer for each of our 4 camps: Redwood Camp, Ponderosa Lodge, Conference Center, and Kidder Creek. **
Position Objective:
The Photographers are responsible for photographing people, setting activities and events, and editing photo related graphics to accurately capture the ministry of the Conference Center, Kidder Creek, Redwood Camp and Ponderosa Lodge through visual images in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
The Photographer works directly with the camp director specific to their site, Marketing Digital Media Manager, site Media Manager, the site specific Videographer, and other site photographers, and is supported by the site specific Summer Staff community and the Marketing department.
General Qualifications:
The Photographer is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Capture photos of summer, photographing camps, campers, activities, volunteers, staff and setting. Catalog, edit, meta tag, and publish daily selected photos from each camp and maintain ongoing photo database of digital images. Support other photographers and videographers by sharing equipment, ideas, critique, transportation, troubleshooting and shot planning. Maintain and keep inventory of photography equipment, editing equipment and supplies, reporting any damage or poorly working equipment to Marketing Manager immediately. Attend all Summer Staff and department meetings and events. Help build the summer staff community with your attitude, words, and actions. Ensure smooth execution of the program specifically by being timely, prepared, and willing to assist with immediate and/or unforeseen needs. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
