Position Purpose:

The Super Relief - Dietary position is responsible for performing all work tasks as assigned which includes relief assignments, portioning, setting up and service of food items, silverware washing, maintaining stock, cleaning and maintenance of all areas and equipment, deliveries to areas of the hospital, floor stocking assignments related to operational needs

What you will do:

Assists with all aspects of meal service to customers, ensuring satisfaction, consistent quality and accuracy.

Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards of the department.

Assists with efficient operation of the department and contribution to the achievement of excellence following hospital and department guidelines.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Moderate to significant amount of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing and walking are required. Must follow written and verbal instructions in English. Position requires ability to frequently lift light objects, perform simple manipulative skills and gross body coordination skills; walk and stand for prolonged periods; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.

Works in an institutional kitchen setting and subject to hazards associated with such an environment, including wet surfaces, cooking equipment, sharp instruments and refrigerated areas. Employee may frequently be exposed to high, low and sudden fluctuations in temperatures, grease or oil; dust; hazardous materials such as chemicals; bodily injuries; unpleasant noise; high humidity or wetness.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma preferred.

Experience: Food service experience preferred.

Licensure: Valid CT driver's license required.

Skills: Excellent customer relation skills, ability to read and understand written and verbal instruction in English, able to use a calculator to perform simple mathematical calculations.
