Subways’ Division of Service Delivery employs 8,000 individuals who work together 24/7, 365 days a year to move millions of customers safely to their destination. Service Delivery employees operate 8,000+ trips per day.

Compensation
Salary Range: $119,377.00 - $188,693.00 (Grade A)
Responsibilities
This position will direct and control daily operations, and oversee the performance of a district or unit, in order to provide safe, efficient and cost-effective service. The incumbent will develop and implement various process improvement initiatives to improve safety and proficiency of the workforce, and the customer experience. Selected candidates may be responsible for overseeing the performance of the District Corridor Plans. The selected candidate, regardless of the subdivision, will respond to and/or control departmental operations at major system emergencies or incidents; incumbents may also be responsible for overseeing multiple districts and/or subdivisions on the PM and Midnight tours.
Education and Experience
+ A high school diploma/GED and ten (10) years of mass transit experience; of which five (5) years must have been in a supervisory/managerial capacity; -OR-
+ A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
Desired Skills
+ Knowledge of rail rapid transit procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Knowledge of MTA NYCT rules and regulations.
+ The ability to manage operational and administrative programs of considerable scope given tight deadlines and adverse conditions.
+ Excellent project management skills. Familiarity with new transit technology.
+ Familiarity with short term and long term capital project/budget planning. Sound decision making in emergency situations.
+ The ability to motivate staff and resolve conflicts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Selection Method
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
Other Information
As an employee of MTA-NYC Transit, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $101,379.00 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
