Apple Roofing is currently looking for a Field Superintendent to join our team. The Field Superintendent will be able to work independently, under the direction of their supervisor. The candidate must be able to multi-task as he/she may be overseeing multiple jobs per day. The candidate should have a working knowledge of general construction practices, more specifically residential and commercial roofing. Communication skills will be a key factor. The candidate should also have adequate computer skills. The candidate will be able to present him/herself in a respectful manner to customers, subcontracted crews, and co-workers. Responsibilities + Perform supervisory functions and also engage in the same roofing trade work as the workers supervised + Provide timely and quality installation of all assigned roofing projects in the field + Check in with homeowners/clients about work completion + Take before and after photos of projects + Check material and counts + Oversee final quality of work + Pick up and return leftover material after work is completed + Final clean up of projects + Oversee construction project and work sites + Ensure all staff have basic understanding of safety procedures, safety rules, and safety requirements + Conduct regular field visits to supervise workers + Resolve customer complaints using effective communication skills Requirements + Commercial/Residential roofing experience required (1 year) + Experience in a similar position preferred + Basic computer knowledge + Basic knowledge of OSHA compliance + Must be able to lift 75 lbs + Must be able to climb ladder and access/work atop roofs + Open to travel when needed Benefits + Pay range dependent on experience + Company Vehicle and Gas Card + Medical, dental and vision benefits + Paid time off + Retirement fund option
