Job Description
We are looking for a competent Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites in Maryland, DC, and Northern VA and their surrounding areas. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. A construction superintendent has a solid experience in the field. Your leadership skills and extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and prioritize safety above everything else.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate construction work according to priorities and plans.Allocate general and daily responsibilities.Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.Resolve problems when they arise.Maintain regular and consistent communication with Project Manager(s) regarding job progress and schedules.Submit required daily labor, equipment, and material management documentation, including accurate time sheets. Examine thoroughly for inconsistencies and missing time sheets to avoid over or under payment and payroll discrepancies.Essential SkillsStrong communication skillsManagement experienceConstruction/field experienceEnvironmental experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related fieldMinimum of 4 years construction experience (environmental construction highly preferred)Proficiency using Microsoft OfficeAbility to respond to constantly changing priorities, reorganizing and completing the required tasks in an efficient mannerBest candidates will have field construction experience or a skilled trades experience. Candidates with a experience environmental or storm water construction are highly desired.Work Environment
This is a 100% field position, and the candidate will be working outside on a daily basis. Exposure to extreme heat and cold should be expected. Job sites vary from parks, new construction, streams, and rivers. The equipment operator will be outside 100 percent of the time.
