Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to manage subcontractors and work with government customers on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will ensure quality control and safety, plan and direct work according to the scope, inspect work progress, and manage scheduling and successful completion of commissioning of newly installed systems.

ResponsibilitiesManage subcontractors and work with government customers daily.Ensure quality control and safety compliance.Plan, assign, and direct work according to the scope.Inspect work in progress to ensure it conforms to quality standards and applicable codes.Manage scheduling and successful completion of commissioning of newly installed systems.Review project specifications and oversee hiring and termination of subcontractors as necessary.Supervise and maintain Health & Safety procedures for federal projects.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5+ years of experience working directly with government agencies (USACE, NAVFAC, Smithsonian, GSA).Proficiency in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience writing QC and Health and Safety plans.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA30, CPR/First Aid, EM385-1-1 certifications are a plus.5-10 years of construction experience.Recent federal experience within the last 2 years is required.Work Environment

Work will be performed at two different locations at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. One job involves rebuilding a perimeter wall separating the Naval Academy grounds and the city of Annapolis. The second project is a small sea wall revival on the Naval Academy grounds. Both jobs will have a Project Manager overseeing the projects, and a standalone QCM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.48
