Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are looking for a competent Construction Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites in Maryland, DC, Northern VA, and their surrounding areas. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, you will play a crucial role in the completion of projects. You must have solid experience in the field, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to make quick decisions. Being well-organized and prioritizing safety above everything else is essential.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate construction work according to priorities and plans.Allocate general and daily responsibilities.Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met.Resolve problems when they arise.Maintain regular and consistent communication with Project Manager(s) regarding job progress and schedules.Submit required daily labor, equipment, and material management documentation, including accurate time sheets, and examine thoroughly for inconsistencies to avoid over or underpayment and payroll discrepancies.Essential SkillsStrong communication skills.Management experience.Construction/field experience.Environmental experience.Ability to respond to constantly changing priorities and reorganize tasks efficiently.Proficiency using Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field.Minimum of 4 years of construction experience (environmental construction highly preferred).Experience with scheduling tools.Candidates with experience in environmental or storm water construction are highly desired.Work Environment

This is a 100% field position, requiring work outside daily with exposure to extreme heat and cold. Job sites vary from parks, new construction, streams, and rivers. The equipment operator will be outside 100 percent of the time.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.26
