Job Title: Triple Hat (Superintendent/SSHO/QC)
Job Description

Seeking an experienced Triple Hat candidate to oversee a renovation project at the US Coast Guard Barracks in Key West. The project involves the replacement of sewage risers over a 60-day period, primarily focusing on plumbing. The role includes supervising subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and enforcing site safety.

ResponsibilitiesProvide daily on-site supervision of subcontractors.Monitor contractor production, schedule, and performance.Manage subcontractor Daily Production Reports.Assist with coordination aspects as directed by the Project Manager.Conduct safety audits and assist with contractor quality control and safety at construction locations.Assist subcontractors with Federal procedures and rules.Ensure contractors complete work on schedule while fulfilling warranty issues.Engage with government officials and contracting officers.Communicate daily status of current projects to Project Manager.Maintain 100% Compliance Readiness in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.Maintain 100% Safety Standards and Accountability in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.Take necessary action when behaviors or conditions may be unsafe.Report and address all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly.Document and record any injury or near-miss incident that may occur.Develop and administer the Quality Control Plan for the project.Certify that all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements.Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process.Provide documented evaluations, assessments, and CQC assistance to staff and subcontractor personnel.Review all catalog cuts and material submittals for compliance with plans and specifications.Ensure all water, soil, materials, and mechanical systems testing are conducted by approved personnel and/or facilities.Distribute written inspection/test results to appropriate agencies.Ensure effective and timely preventive and corrective actions are taken.Conduct pre-final inspections and establish a punch list if required.Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel.Submit as-builts on finished projects.Essential SkillsMinimum 10 years combined experience in construction.Minimum 5 years experience as a superintendent overseeing similar projects in size and scope.Minimum 5 years experience on federal construction projects on military installations.Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and documenting drawings and changes (as-builts).Ability to interpret a critical path schedule.USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification.Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Microsoft Projects.OSHA 30 certification.Familiarity with EM-385-1 Construction and Occupational Safety and Health Standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsFederal interior renovation project experience highly preferred.Familiarity with the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Plan.Work Environment

The project is based at the Key West Coast Guard Barracks. This role offers the opportunity to work and live in Key West for the duration of the project. The position may lead to a permanent hire with potential travel opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
