**Description** **Job Summary** Responsible for the daily operations of the construction site, from planning, coordinating and overseeing project subcontract activities, material orders and deliveries to support delivery of project in accordance with contract plans and specifications. Generally, tasks include scheduling subcontractor work in accordance with strict timeline, monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring work corresponds with contract documents, support oversight of CQM and SSHO programs, maintaining owner relations and supporting oversight and controls for project finances. **Description** + Be assigned to the site on a full-time basis for the duration of field activities. + The project superintendent is primarily responsible for managing subcontractors and coordinating day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project. + Must have the ability to read, and interpret construction drawings and documents, to properly direct subcontractors to execution of work. + Must have the ability to provide solutions for field conditions or design conflicts through day-to-day decision making, or by seeking formal resolutions through proper RFI channels. + Perform difficult and challenging construction and project management functions including planning, billing reviews and processing subcontractor payment requests, change orders, submittal tracking, directing and budgeting for assigned project. + Monitor requirements necessary to obtain progress payments, government-furnished property, etc. and/or administers specific phases of complex contracts. + Provide necessary daily, weekly and monthly update reports as required + Assist with project design plan reviews, to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts. + Support delivery and coordination of weekly project update meetings. Attend Red Zone meetings, partnering meetings, and quality control meetings. + Perform limited desktop publishing. Creates and assists in the development of visual presentations as required. + Responsible for assisting Project Manager with scheduling reviews, budget updates and other contractual information. + Maintain customer relations through communication both face to face, and digital. Professional appearance is desirable. + Responsible for scheduling of subcontracted work to be performed and overall project completion time based on IAW project plan as well as communicating with the customer regarding any deviation from the schedule and develops mitigations strategies as required. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Must be able to read, write and speak English. + Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance. + Must be capable of interpreting and supporting update recommendations for a critical path schedule + Must be able to expertly interpret construction plans and specifications. + Must be able to identify all necessary subcontracted trades with associated phasing in accordance with project delivery + Must be able to coordinate monthly scheduling updates with corporate consultant. + Advanced management, employee, and customer relations skills. + Advanced verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Project (as required). + Experience with Procore (Project Management Software) is preferred. + Experience with Government RMS (Resident Management System) is preferred. + High level of attention to detail. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands. **Education, Experience and Certification** + Preferred + Construction Management Degree, similarly completed certificate program or equivalent experience. + Required + 10 years of General Construction Experience + 5 years of experience as Superintendent of project similar size and complexity + ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) Certificate (or ability to obtain through company support post hire) + US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (QCM) for Contractor’s (or ability to obtain through company support post hire) + OSHA 30CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain through company support post hire) _This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change._ J&J Worldwide Services CBRE Government and Defense Business is thrilled at the opportunity for you to apply to one of our roles.
