Job Title: Federal Construction Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a Federal Construction Superintendent to oversee 2-3 smaller interior renovation projects in Washington DC, valued between $1-6 million. These projects are for various government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Interior, and Department of Defense. Responsibilities + Manage subcontractors and work closely with government customers on quality control and safety. + Plan, assign, and direct work according to the scope of work. + Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to quality standards and applicable codes. + Manage scheduling and successful completion of commissioning of newly installed systems as required. + Review project specifications and oversee hiring and termination of subcontractors as necessary. + Develop Quality Control and Health & Safety procedures for federal projects. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5+ years experience working directly with government agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, Smithsonian, and GSA. + Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. + OSHA 30 HR certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + USACE QCM Certification is highly desired but not required. Work Environment Work will be performed at various jobsites in the Greater DC area. You will have support from a Sr PM and a Quality Control Manager/SSHO on the project sites. The company offers great pay, benefits, and opportunities for long-term roles.
