TITLE: Superintendent, Operations

Summary: The operations superintendent plans, organizes, coordinates, schedules, and monitors the safety, performance, training, schedules, and work activities of the Salt/Mag operations supervisors. This role ensures that Salt/Mag personnel, equipment, and processes conform to safety, quality, and quantity parameters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: (Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)
Facilitate the continuous improvement process by developing tools, providing training, and leading events with the Salt/Mag team. Drive continuous improvement in inventory managementDrive Daily/Weekly Strategy Development.Create and implement Metric Development and ReportingCreate and Implement Cost Reduction Calculation and TrackingProvide Leadership in Mentoring/ Coaching related to process improvementProvide Technical Support for Engineering projectsDeliverables:
Must be able to manage labor force and costs to meet and exceed forecasts Direct supervisors in the production and shipping areas of the plant Collaboratively communicate with Logistics, Demand, and Sales groups to meet customer requirements Oversee and ensure all safe work procedures, policies, and practices are being followed at all times Train and manage to maintain housekeeping standards and policies in production and shipping Provide troubleshooting and technical support for Salt/Mag supervisors Facilitate matters dealing with coaching, motivating, performance management, and corrective action Develop and review standard work procedures Ensure adherence to daily and weekly operational strategies Knowledge of Solid/ Liquid Separation, Chemistry, and Material Handling. Must be skilled in Statistical Process Control and Process Modeling with proven Leadership Skills. Apply sound judgment to Statistical processes. Must be able to independently and effectively plan, organize, coordinate, and follow up on assignments. Collaboratively manage projects in accordance with scheduled plant turnarounds. Assist the employee development process by providing training programs on precision Salt/Mag production practices. Must be able to write technical reports, prepare procedural manuals and the ability to function as a team.
