Supervising Case Manager

Position Summary:
The Supervising Case Manager for the Washington, DC Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Workforce Development program will supervise case management staff’s daily functions ensuring full departmental adherence to policy and protocol serve, as well as serving as the main point of contact for Customers for assigned case load (TANF recipients referred to Fedcap by the District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services). The Supervising Case Manager shall coordinate all services to ensure that Case Managers are appropriately working with their assigned caseload of Customers and achieving performance benchmarks. MUST BE BILINGUAL SPANISH
Two separate programs comprise our Workforce Development contract with the District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services (DHS); Job Placement’s primary focus is Customer placement into unsubsidized employment; and Education and Occupational Training’s primary focus is to enhance a customer’s skill level through education and training to be referred to a Job Placement program after receiving credentials. Additional details provided below:
Education and Occupational Training (EOT): Case management supports, barrier removal, development and monitoring of training programs, possible on-site training with industry recognized credentials. Outreach and non-compliance support services.
Job Placement (JP): Case management supports, barrier removal, job readiness training, job development services, services to assist with career advancement, retention services. Outreach and non-compliance support services.
Essential Functions:
+ Generate new leads to increase onsite and online student enrollment. Build rapport with existing clients/customers. Develop new clients, offer solutions to employer specific training needs.
+ Schedule appointments with human resource directors, school administrators and other potential clients/customers. Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients/customers, having researched their educational and vocational training requirements. Make presentations to human resource directors and career counselors in corporations and other organizations (Workforce1, SBA, etc).
+ Build a pipeline for student internships and job placements.
+ Prepare quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects. Create and manage records of sales, revenue, and other important data.
+ Researching market and industry trends.
+ Fluent communication in person, on the phone, and in email.
+ Ability to make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
+ BILINGUAL SPANISH is a MUST
+ Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services, counseling, business administration or related field from an accredited institution.
+ Three (3) years’ experience supervising in a vocational rehabilitation, case management or related field; and/or work experience determined to be acceptable to the agency.
