RegularCompany:Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer CenterDepartment: Flow Cytometry Laboratory (Clinical)Time Type: Full timeWeekly Hours: 40FTE:1Shift: First Shift (United States of America)Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing Flow Cytometry laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis, treatment and research; supervises technical and non-technical staff involved in classifying leukemias and lymphomas through immunophenotyping, assessing immunologically-related diseases, providing clinical data to assess transplant therapy progress and analyzing the DNA components of solid tumors; provides direct administrative and clinical support to the Department Chairperson and Administrator; performs, monitors and reviews simple and/or complex laboratory test procedures in one or more laboratory sections.Salary range is $93,219 to $116,477 which includes a $4,580 geographical differential and a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
3. Possession of a restricted license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Flow Cytometry in the State of New York; or
4. Eligibility for restricted licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Flow Cytometry in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Doctorate degree in medical or clinical laboratory technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a Flow Cytometry laboratory; or
2. Master’s degree in medical or clinical laboratory technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time clinical laboratory experience including one (1) year of experience in a Flow Cytometry laboratory; or
3. Bachelor’s degree in medical or clinical laboratory technology or a related discipline and the equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time clinical laboratory experience including one (1) year of experience in a Flow Cytometry laboratory.
NOTES:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the appropriate certification noted above within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
