Supervising Psychologist
Conducts psychological treatment and assessment services for children, adolescents and families referred to the Behavioral Health Clinic. Provides oversight and supervision of all clinical service activities for assigned provisionally licensed providers and/or LMHP providers. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Functions as a Supervising Psychologist in the Behavioral Health Clinic and Supports the Clinic’s Clinical Training Program. + Oversees all clinical activities of assigned provisionally licensed or LMHP licensed staff (i.e., postdoctoral fellows, psychology interns, master's level clinicians). + Provides weekly face to face individual supervision for assigned provisionally licensed staff. Provides regular supervision to assigned LMHP licensed staff as required. + Conducts mental status exams, confirms diagnostic impressions, oversees development and implementation of treatment plans and service delivery. + Reviews and signs all clinical services documentation and correspondence generated by assigned provisionally licensed staff. Reviews and signs clinical services documentation and correspondence generated by LMHP licensed staff as required. + Participates in clinical training activities and provides training in various psychological topics for Clinic staff. Provides clinical services to children, adolescents and their families and assists in establishing and maintaining a referral base. + Provides behavioral and mental health therapy services to clients each week. + Conducts clinical assessments. + Completes clinical documentation in accordance with client record protocols. + Provides clinical consultation with referral base for the purpose of coordinating care for clients. + Participates in clinical and peer supervision to ensure quality of care and professional performance standards. + Meets monthly clinical productivity expectations. + Assists in establishing and maintaining a referral base from Boys Town and/or community medical providers, school personnel, other treatment providers, and the general community. + Pursues ongoing education related to the fields of clinical psychology, behavioral pediatrics, and parent training. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: + Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of psychology with an emphasis on behavioral pediatrics (primary care psychology), behavioral psychology and/or cognitive behavioral theories. + Knowledge of clinical diagnostic criteria and emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders. + Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring and interpreting a wide variety of psychological and vocational tests. + Skill in determining diagnoses, providing therapy, conducting evaluation, administering standardized tests and measures and providing supervision to these clinical activities. + Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic intervention with individuals, groups and families. + Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic intervention with individuals, groups and families. + Ability to provide effective clinical oversight and supervision to provisionally and LMHP licensed providers to further their professional development and clinical acumen. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people. + Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical, school, and/or counseling psychology required. + Completion if an APA approved internship or equivalent required. + Proficiency in assessing and treating a wide range of clinical concerns and diagnoses such as disruptive behavior problems, ADHD, oppositional and defiant behavior, sleep disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and fears, motor habits, academic problems and ASDs required. + Licensed (or licensable) Psychologist or Licensed independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in the state in which practicing required.
