Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Supervision Engineer ELV to join our team! In this role you will be is responsible for supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems in construction projects. The role involves ensuring that ELV systems, such as security, fire alarms, telecommunication, CCTV, and access control systems, are installed according to design specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee the installation of ELV systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, access control, public address systems, data and telecommunication networks, and automation systems within the manufacturing plant.
Inspect materials, equipment, and installations for compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure that all ELV systems are installed and integrated in accordance with local and international codes and standards.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the timely and smooth execution of ELV system installations.
Maintain detailed records of ELV system installations, inspections, testing, and commissioning procedures.
Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders regarding ELV system installation and status.
Communicate with clients or project owners regarding ELV system requirements, design, and installation updates.
Ensure that the systems are fully functional and meet the client’s expectations upon completion of the project.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE or PMP) is a plus.
Proven 10 years experience in managing or supervising the installation and commissioning of ELV systems in industrial or high-tech manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of specialized ELV systems such as automation controls, advanced security systems, industrial network infrastructure, and communications systems used in manufacturing plants.
Experience with ELV systems standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA, ISO) and building codes related to industrial installations.
Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Revit, or other building design tools.
Strong project management skills, including managing timelines, resources, and vendors.
Ability to handle complex troubleshooting and operational challenges in high-tech environments.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and teams effectively.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with smart manufacturing systems, industrial IoT (Internet of Things), or smart factory technologies.
Familiarity with advanced security technologies (biometric systems, facial recognition, etc.) used in high-tech facilities.
Previous experience in construction supervision for large-scale manufacturing plants or industrial facilities.
Familiarity with sustainability practices in construction and facility management (green building practices, energy-efficient ELV systems, etc.).
