Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor will support the monthly accounting close and consolidation process in partnership and collaboration with members of the broader accounting team and other stakeholders throughout the Company. This position will maintain close working relationships with Segment Controllership and Finance teams and various other departments throughout the organization, including Treasury, Legal and HR. The Accounting Supervisor is a full-time role.

This role will have a broad responsibility for the following areas:General accounting function(s)Supervision of team’s responsibilities for the preparation and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.Responsible for the close process including balance sheets, profit and loss statements.Process control implementation to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards/policies.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accountingCPA or CPA equivalent preferredAt least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including 2 years in leadership positionConsolidation experience at a large, multi-national company is strongly preferredExperience with Oracle/SAP ERP system, Hyperion and/or OneStream is strongly preferred. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Public accounting and/or large US public company experience a plusStrong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAPAttention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data a plusStrong communication skillsInsightful ability to identify trends and themes for continuous improvement across the functionAbility to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectivesMotivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Support the monthly close and consolidation process.Preparation or review of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reportsPreparation or review of monthly trial balance and Bank reconciliationsResponsible in the monthly and annual closing of the booksMonth and year-end processReview of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement analyticsDrive and support continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in the monthly close process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, implementation of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measuresSupport internal control assessments and establish and maintain effective design and operating effectiveness of internal controls of assigned processesImplements processes and controls to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Corporate accounting standards/policies.Coordinate with and support external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual auditCollaborate with management and department heads to resolve accounting-related issuesEnsure accuracy and completeness in the output of accounting staff
