The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Supervisor, Accounts Payable. This job is full-time permanent.
The Financial Transaction Support group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable your role will consist of supervising processes as of: the invoice entry, the T&E, the vendor master and the payment process; provide statistical reports, review month-end-results and review key performance indicators to insure invoices are paid according to the payment terms.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Review, evaluate and make recommendations to the Manager to improve the finance processes (all Pulp and Paper mills) related to the Accounts Payable functions; Supervise finance staff in the Accounts Payable Group (approximately 6) and assist the Manager, Accounts Payable in the change management process (system & process designs, training, organizational impacts, restructuring, etc.); Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as well as internal control standards that are required under Sarbanes-Oxley Act; Coordinate process to ensure that the invoices are process on time. Investigate and resolve problems and avoid double payment; Provide functional support and expertise to the team.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
You hold a bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent experience; You have eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in accounting including experience in accounts payable; Experience in account payable freight or logistic an asset You have experience in a management/supervisor position; Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written: : This is required since as part of this function, you will have to intervene with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis, both orally and in writingWhat we are offering
