In this position, there is a focus on mentoring and training calibration technicians, as well as working closely with Engineering, Production, and Field Support teams to address metrology needs. Building and maintaining strong relationships with calibration suppliers to ensure timely equipment calibration is also a key responsibility. Communication of results and solutions in a clear and efficient manner for metrology projects is imperative, as is managing spare parts inventory.

Essential Job Functions:
Demonstrates expertise in FDA, ISO, and ANSI regulations and standards (For Ex: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025).
Creates necessary procedures and forms to support the Quality Management system.
Compiles department metrics for Quality Management and Management Review meetings.
Participates in internal, external, and 3rd party quality audits.
Tracks and follows up on corrective actions.
Provides daily quality support and guidance to BD employees.
Conducts instructor-led training on Calibration Software and procedures.
Trains Calibration Technicians on procedures, work instructions, and quality guidelines.
Collaborates on Corrective and Preventive Actions and process improvement projects.
Supports Engineering, Production, and Field Service on new equipment calibration requirements and supplier evaluations.
Ensures inspection equipment is calibrated on schedule.
Serves as the expert in calibration metrology for the Calibration Lab.
Independently handles routine tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
Issues purchase orders for calibration and repair services, including spare parts.
Coordinates external calibration and repairs with suppliers.
Organizes onsite calibrations with suppliers.
Maintains working calibration standards.
Calibrates equipment to meet specifications and requirements.
Reviews calibration reports for compliance.
Generates and reviews out-of-tolerance reports using Quality Notification (Q5) process.
Prepares Product Impact Assessments for out-of-tolerance reports.
Conducts reverse traceability reports for calibration standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manages a small team of technicians by delivering instructor-led training, conducting annual performance reviews, setting clear team priorities, fostering a positive work environment, and inspiring through exemplary actions.
Performs any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
Minimum 4 years of calibration and repair experience in a regulated environment, emphasizing FDA standards.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; adept at mathematical applications like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
Experience in Blue Mountain Ram (BMRAM) preferred.
Strong customer service, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
ASQ CCT certification mandatory.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced setting.
Skilled in motivating and collaborating with teams.
Preferred certifications include Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, or similar.
Two-year degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Bio-Medical, etc.) required.
Strong customer service, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
ASQ CCT certification mandatory.
