The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. **It’s Work That Matters.** **Overview** **Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Supervisor in the CBDI Hem Onc Infusion Center and Hem Onc Clinic provides operational and clinical supervision for a work area or unit. Responsible for front-line supervision of staff while on the unit. Collaborates with the Manager to implement plans addressing performance improvement, quality improvement, advancement of care delivery, and customer/staff satisfaction. Serves as a work area leader and develops systems to ensure efficient workflow and collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the interprofessional team. Maintains open communication with manager regarding patients, family, personnel and departmental issues. The Infusion Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is designed to meet the infusion and transfusion needs of children, adolescents and young adults. The center leverages our hospital’s experts from: BMT, Gastrointestinal and nutritional disorders, Hem Onc, Neurology and Rheumatology The HemOnc Clinic patient volumes vary between 60-120 patients/day. It is a fast paced clinic. RNs are used in a nursing model that works alongside our physicians to support various HemOnc specialty clinics that are designated by disease team providers. RNs need to be clinically versed in foundational pediatric HemOnc disease knowledge and treatment to support patient and family education. **Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:** 3-5 years of experience in Pediatrics Oncology. Expert clinical knowledge of unit’s patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. **Education/Licensure/Certification:** BSN, California RN License, Current CPR and PALS Card; APHON Chemo Provider Certification; National Certification Required **Pay Scale Information** $130,000.00-$233,875.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
