Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program. Other duties as assigned by any member of management. Lead department in meeting and exceeding productivity and quality standards Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Promote a success-driven culture of caring and pride across the department and the plant. Manage employee performance, including regular monitoring and feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action. Assist in new hire orientation and training, including cross-training within the department. Plan work effectively and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and waste. Communicate with maintenance department to facilitate safe and efficient operation of all equipment. Participate in meetings and initiatives on a plant level. Manage employee timecards, time off requests, and other payroll-related items. Submit timely and thorough reports relative to department and plant activities. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the corrugated or packaging industries A minimum of 3 years in a lead or supervisory role Basic computer proficiency Knowledge of packaging-specific platforms is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, motivate and direct employees.
Work Environment:
Regular work near moving mechanical parts. Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and temperature variations Noise level is moderate to high. Bump caps, ear protection, eye protection, and safety shoes are required.
