Job Summary

The Electrical Engineering Supervisor directs the activities of the engineering function(s) related to electrical engineering design of new products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for technical/engineering output and direct management of the electrical engineering team for new product designs.Responsible for alignment between project specifications and product designEngages directly in design activities for projects, including initial concepts, electrical design reviews, and overall system reviewsActs as an engineering liaison with manufacturing to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.Provides process and technical guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies and design requirements Provides guidance to the schematic and PCB design and layout standards used to ensure alignment to industry standardsResponsible for process development/continuous improvement of the electrical engineering design processes.May lead technical projects, coordinating the cross-functional output of the engineering team, including electrical, software, and mechanical engineering efforts.Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of supervisory experience and 5+ years direct electrical design experience.Experience with “Lean Product Development”, “Rapid Learning Cycles”, “Design for Six Sigma”, or other lean product development systems/methods.Experience as a technical project leader leading multi-discipline development (mechanical, electrical, and software)Experience with multi-axis, coordinated, robotic motion including motors/servo/tuningExperience using Altium for PCB/PCA design

Compensation:

Salary range for this position is: $101,000 to $160,000.  

The base salary pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
