Our Fairbanks Westmark Hotel and Conference Center team is looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to supervise staff in all aspects of the day-to-day operations and service within our Food and Beverage operations.

**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Ensures that department goals are communicated, understood, and met by staff.
+ Ensures that orders are prepared accurately and delivered timely according to service sequence standards.
+ Coordinates tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the food and beverage department runs efficiently and meets goals.
+ Addresses guest concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by enlisting the help of others & conduct table side checks.
+ Acts as a “bridge” between management and seasonal staff to facilitate department operation (e.g., keep managers apprised of hourly associate activities, issues, challenges, etc.)
+ Works with management to ensure that staff have the necessary resources (supplies), continual job training, seasonal evaluations, and performance feedback to effectively perform their jobs.
+ Supports payroll, food and beverage cost control programs and overall budgetary guidelines.
+ Assists in training of our food and beverage staff. Works with management and training matrix to ensure that all staff receives training (Human Resources, HESS, Food & Beverage department and job specific)
+ Counsels staff on work related concerns and issues, listen to their suggestions, works on improvement ideas to ensure satisfaction and productivity enlisting the support of management as needed.
+ Ensures compliance with all HESS/SOP (e.g., safety, OSHA, SERVSAFE and food standards) rules and regulations.
+ Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, objectives and applicable government laws and regulations.
+ Collaborates with management to recognize and celebrate staff performance contributions.
+ Conducts day-to-day shift operations (staffing to business, ensure service sequence & guests feedback).
+ Other duties as assigned.
**_Requirements:_**
+ This job normally requires a professional level of knowledge in food and beverage equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of some college or equivalent certification.
+ Demonstration of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
+ Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's card prior to your first day of work.
+ Must have or the ability to obtain a TAM or TIPS alcohol training card prior to your first day of work.
+ The ability to push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chaffing dishes on a daily basis, 20 – 40 pounds.
+ The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, to talk to customers.
+ The ability to work a varied work schedule and overtime work may be required according to business needs.

**_Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:_**
+ Excellent organizational skills required. You will be seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
+ The ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
+ The ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff and guests requests/inquires.
+ The ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
+ Ability to work with all levels of management, employees and customers with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
+ Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Good comprehension skills are required for interpreting and implementing policies and procedures; writing schedules & procedures.
+ Ability to comply with health and safety requirements, including knowledge of chemicals used in sanitation.
+ Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including all company health and safety standards.
