JOB SUMMARY: Manager, Global Logistics - Transportation is responsible for developing a cross-trained Logistics team, building robust processes capable of absorbing significant volume increases and enhancing logistic related communications. In addition to logistics/distribution data analytics both inbound and outbound, carrier performance, systems, freight bill, audit, and payment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages team responsible for the movement of product throughout the domestic and international supply chain utilizing Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers. Responsible for implementing a trade compliance program which allows for identifying and mitigating risks. Responsible for developing a Logistics succession plan to ensure business and personnel success. Develops personnel by educating, inspiring, and leading by example. Responsible for developing Logistics business continuity plans. Serves as department subject matter expert on shipping validation lanes and equipment. Responsible for identifying Warehouse & Logistics continuous improvement opportunities and leading projects to eliminate non-value-added waste and drive improved performance. Acts as business liaison for Customs Border Patrol, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and United States Department of Agriculture including issue resolutions. Maintains international and domestic transportation procedures in conjunction with warehouse shipping procedures. Plans, schedules, and monitors shipments with carriers following routing guide criteria. Creates monthly and quarterly transportation cost and performance reports along with analysis and trends. Supports proper utilization of ERP system (Oracle Cloud), for input of freight invoices, coding, payment, freight database and data reporting. Leads and support Logistics Master data maintenance and management in ERP system (Oracle Legacy and Oracle Cloud). Complies with WWT export/import compliance program: Dept of Commerce -- EAR, Dept of State -- ITAR, Federal Trade Register - US Census Maintains all file documentation per Global Government agencies and WWT Compliance Manual requirements. Maintains international / domestic transportation model to maximize delivery efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize customer satisfaction. Proactively tracks & traces shipments and where necessary contact carriers for solving problems Escalates transportation issues to both carriers and WWT management. Makes suggestions for improving transportation performance and saving costs. Provides direction, training, and information to all associates in the performance of their duties.
