Description This position supports and coordinates clinic and hospital Health Information Management (HIM) OperationsProvide recommendations to optimize resources and align them with best-in-class performance metrics in specific categories of HIM (productivity, compliance, accuracy, effectiveness, timeliness, and efficiency)The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance productivity of HIMSupervises staff, providing work assignments, performance feedback and corrective action if necessaryAssist in Hiring process and trains new employeesReviews and approves UKG payroll when neededWorks with a leader to formulate a plan for professional developmentAttends educational in-services as appropriateProvides data and reports as required by managementWorks with physicians to ensure consistent coding and documentation practices are followedTrains staff as appropriate on record completion guidelinesAct as a subject matter expert related to Health Information Management operation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate or bachelor's degree and with a minimum of four (4) years of Health Information Management and/or leadership experience, preferably in HIMProfessional Certification accepted: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CHDA
