The **Tissue Processing Supervisor** oversees the day-to-day operations of the tissue processing laboratory/CORE functions and Tissue Processing Technicians of all levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and laboratory protocols. The supervisor should ensure that we are maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of tissue handling and processing. This role will require advanced knowledge of Tech I through Lead roles. May be required and willing to assist as a TPT at any given time. **This role work 7 - 12 hour shifts every two weeks that are 7pm - 7am and will cover every other weekend.** **Typical Schedule:** **Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday. Saturday** **Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday** **Duties and Responsibilities** + Conduct interviews with applicants and provide hiring recommendations. + Organize and delegate tasks to maintain efficient workflow and coverage. + Oversee the accuracy of charts and maintain timely progression of chart flow. + Keep detailed records of all logbooks, including but not limited to assignment, refrigeration and cleaning logs. + Document performance issues, policy violations, and corrective actions as required and offer feedback for professional development. + Monitors work schedules and workflow of the team on a daily/weekly basis. + Trains team members, conducts performance evaluations and provides input to pay actions + Has formal supervisory responsibilities, conveys performance expectations & completes evaluations + Oversee and train laboratory staff in tissue processing techniques and procedures. + Ensure compliance with protocols for tissue handling, processing, and storage. + and offer feedback for professional development. + Implement and enforce quality control measures for accurate and consistent tissue graft processing. + Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including OSHA guidelines, FDA regulations, and AATB guidelines, safety and hygiene standards. + Initiate and manage Non-Conformances, Deviations, Breaches and Reworks as they occur. + Conduct spot checks of Tissue Processing Technicians. + Perform other duties and activities as assigned or requested by management **Requirements** + Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with 0-2 years of experience of leading a team + 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in the Tissue Banking or Medical Device industry. + Able to work 12-hour shifts on a rotation schedule including weekends + Demonstrates exceptional understanding of aseptic processing techniques. + Accurately document procedures and maintain records in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Rigorously follow all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Possess advanced computer skills for email communication and data entry using Oracle and Agile systems. + Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, with clear and concise communication skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
