Position Summary:

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Production Supervisor position.

This position will provide leadership and guidance to our production team. You will lead a production team function by integrating world-class manufacturing and business processes. You must have a proven track record of leading manufacturing teams in high-growth environments.

You excel in interacting with all levels of the organization, outside entities, and technical personnel (quality, engineering, technicians, etc.) The position is responsible for managing processes and people to meet production, quality, safety, and environmental standards and to meet internal and external customer demand.

Responsibilities:

Coach and develop all production team members through consistent and effective training and communication.Develop, administer, and coach Standard Work InstructionsUtilize standardized problem-solving solutions; KIR(A3), 8D, 5 Why, FishboneDrive 5S procedures with teamDrive actions to close gaps and met KPI Metrics utilizing SMED, 7 Wastes, and other Lean processes.Ensures all safety requirements for all processes are being followed.Motivate, direct, align and guide the team for best performance.Review and track KPI’s, such as first pass yield, scrap, and maintenance costs.Identify and recommend value stream process improvementReview work orders, production specifications, technical instructions, facility requirements, tool requisition, equipment, and supplies for department.Oversight and manage the daily inventory for department supplies.Coordinate appropriate staffing with Ops Manager and assist with team resource concerns.Update and communicate team metrics to the team.Meets all production requirements by pre-planning and follow up on all jobs having work ready for next shift.Coordinate with Team Leaders to create plans so teams meet daily targets.Monitor attendance, training, safety, and other company policies and procedures.Controls man hours including indirect hours, overtime, and days off to workers.  Allocates man-hours vs. job #’s.Works closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in throughout the facility.And other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent experienceMinimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and on-time delivery processes.Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.Bilingual a plus

Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a team of production employeesProven success creating a balanced manufacturing environment through understanding of customer demand and production capacityExperienced in improving operations within established quality systemsDemonstrated ability to create an engaging work environmentSolid interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolutionEffective skills in managing priorities, expectations, and accountabilitiesWorking experience in attracting and developing people and effectively allocating and utilizing resourcesProfessional communication skillsAbility and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

The base salary range for this role is 64,200 to 96,300.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.

Must pass pre-employment and drug screen.
