Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Patient Access, supervises and coordinates various processes within the Patient Access Department, including patient registration, managed care notification/authorization, insurance verification, patient valuables, patient scheduling, morgue coordination, patient financial services and admitting. Monitors daily operations and activities of associates regarding scheduling, productivity and work. Along with the department Director supervises approximately 50 FTE's of hourly staff. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience. Requires three to five years’ prior experience in a hospital setting. Requires a working knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Meditech experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
