Responsibilities
Recruits, hires, trains, disciplines and supervises staff including completion of performance evaluations and competency assessments. Maintains and updates staff procedure manuals, staff training programs and quality assurance programs. Communicates effectively with staff and develop an effective team which promotes open communication between co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.Provides leadership and acts as a resource to departmental staff to ensure smooth operations of the day-to-day activities; and ensuring operational goals and customer needs are met.Participates in the development and implementation of operational processes and supervises the activities of a Patient Financial Services (PFS). Assists in the development of and provides recommendation for systems and processes that further develop VMMC's ability to provide efficient revenue cycle operations.Participates in the establishment of policies and procedures for the revenue cycle according to administrative and legal requirement.Assists in developing and monitoring the operating and capital budget making adjustment as needed to stay within budget guidelines; reviews and reports significant variances.Collaborates and coordinates with other VMMC Departments and alliances to ensure seamless administrations of processes and policies as well as analyzes and resolves sensitive financial related situations.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required.This position requires 3 years increasingly responsible leadership experience, preferably in a progressive healthcare setting.Demonstrated customer service, written and verbal communications skills and the ability to manage a diverse staff model.Previous experience in a Clinic/Hospital financial business opperation, extensive knowledge of billing guidelines, and Federal and State billing regulations and previous supervisory experience is preferred.
