Job Overview:

The Sterile Products Supervisor is a member of the Pharmacy management team and responsible for managing the sterile product compliance for the Pharmacy department.

Qualifications:

Required:

PharmD Graduate of college of Pharmacy accredited by ACPE or equivalentPrevious pharmacist experience

Preferred:

At least one year of supervisory experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Current Pharmacist license in NJ

Essential Functions:

Oversees compliance with all regulatory requirements required for sterile compounding including USP 797 USP 800 NJ BOP TJC DEA FDA CMS NJDOH and other state or federal regulatory bodiesAssists in the development of quality improvement programs staff training and development for sterile and hazardous compounding Manages policies for sterile compoundingFrontline resource for all pharmacy staff Assists Director and ADOP in meeting vision and mission of patient safety formulary compliance cost effective practice teamwork productivity and positive outcomes Participates with external departments at local and system level to optimize patient care and best practiceProvides cross coverage for other supervisor responsibilities as needed and assignedProvides leadership and direction to pharmacy team membersProvides feedback to complete employee evaluationsPromotes a positive work environmentPlans efficient and effective utilization of resourcesAssists in planning monitoring and maintaining budget in functional areas of the department Participates in on-call duties if asked
