Job Summary
The Planning Supervisor develops, manages, and executes sales, inventory and margin plans that tie to financial targets for multiple business units and product categories. This individual contributes to the success of the organization by forging strong cross-functional partnerships, correlating historical and current trends to inform both near-term and future business decisions, planning and forecasting multiple monthly and annual KPI’s, optimizing inventory, and the ability to present, articulate and defend their plan/forecast position. The Planning Supervisor is directly responsible for a designated category within Men’s Tops, and will also manage a direct report to oversee the total roll-up of the Men’s Tops business, and act in the absence of the Sr Manager of Merchandise Planning.

Representative Responsibilities
+ Develop and cultivate Planning/Merchandising partnerships to create long range, pre-season, and in-season forecasts, and inventory strategies in alignment with organizational strategies and targets.
+ Lead the pre-season plan review process, in-season reforecasting, and post-season hind sighting. Own the Men’s Tops total roll-up category forecast/plan changes in relation to prior forecast, prior year(s), and target. Present, articulate, and support the plan or forecast position in relation to global targets.
+ Oversee a planner direct-report’s book of business, as it relates to the Men’s Tops total roll. Manage, develop, train, and mentor this direct report for continued growth within the company, creating an environment that supports and rewards strong performance and is consistent with organizational goals.
+ Lead and manage Men’s team cross-functional projects, delegating across team members as necessary, with support from the Sr Planning Manager.
+ Partner with Merchandising and Inventory teams to identify areas of opportunity within the assortment to drive sales and margin, and mitigate inventory liability using historical trends and analyses, coupled with market and consumer insights.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to efficiently manage product life cycle for the assigned book of business.
+ Lead and facilitate monthly meetings with key partners to understand current business trends and inventory position, proactively identifies actionable risks and opportunities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve opportunities as they arise. Take a proactive approach in identifying potential roadblocks and seeks out resolutions in a timely manner.
+ Lead change to enhance and develop more efficient/effective best practices and processes that support our targets/goals.
Required Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
Required Skills & Experience
+ Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a planning or forecasting field required; wholesale demand planning experience preferred.
+ At least 1 year of leadership experience preferred demonstrated through project management or management of others.
+ Active listening and strong written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and business unit partners. Self-motivated and passionate individual who exudes confidence, excitement, and aptitude to clearly present and explain ideas.
+ Prior success in leading or managing direct report(s) through an engaged and inspired approach.
+ Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and delegate workload, juggling multiple concurrent projects and deliverables.
+ High level of analytical thinking with a broad background in understanding and applying different forecasting methodologies dependent upon different business needs.
+ Able to ideate and implement executional needs against strategic planning goals/processes.
+ Outstanding organizational skills with proactive critical thinking approach when confronting problem solving.
+ Strategic vision to enhance and develop more efficient and effective best practices and processes.
+ Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite and Planning tools) are needed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
+ Typical office environment; cubicle/office setting.
+ Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer.
+ Travel required up to 20% of time
