To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Signature Medical Group Prescription Team, which consists of the team receiving the incoming refill request phone calls and the medication prior authorizations for the Primary Care patients. This position is expected to be a working supervisor that is able to work within the team and provide coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure efficient and effective processes surrounding incoming prescription refill requests and prior authorizations.
Maintain high quality patient care and experience related to the prescription team.
Facilitate and coordinate quality patient care, which may include direct contact with patients, caregivers, pharmacies, insurances, and other Signature Healthcare departments.
Provides accurate documentation of patient information for licensed health care provider’s review and prioritizes care appropriately
Reviews incoming documents and facilitates transmission to the appropriate departments
Supervision of all positions within the Prescription Team.
Develop, implement and maintain proper scheduling and staffing levels at all times.
Delegate workload appropriately
Manage direct reports in compliance with current employment laws and within the guidelines of company policy.
Provide all direct reports with regular feedback, positive and constructive, as well as annual performance evaluations.
Monitor, audit and maintain records with respect to employee attendance and time off.
Insure proper communication flow through the daily huddles within their practice
Monitor and maintain the Lean Basic Scorecard within the office
Monitor condition, safety and effectiveness of the physical environment and initiate corrective action when necessary
Required Knowledge & Skills
One year of supervisory/management experience preferred
Pharmacy Technician experience required.
Phone Team experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft office is required
Ability to work independently to set priorities, problem solve, etc.
Adheres to company policies and procedures to include personnel policies, safety policies and clinical policies and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Education/ Experience/ Licensure
Education: High school graduate or equivalent require, college degree preferred
Pharmacy technician experience required
Experience: At least two years of supervisory/management experience required
Certification/Licensure: Pharmacy Technician
