Supervisor, Pt Registration - Patient Registration - Full Time
Position Summary: Supervises and responsible for the administration of Front Line Patient Access staff and processes with focus on collecting & entering accurate data, and time of service collections. Education, License & Cert: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance Accounting or closely related field if required. This requirement may be satisfied through and equivalent combination of education and prior experience in a health care. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years proven practical experience in the field of health care accounts receivable, three (3) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Must be capable of developing and supervising technical systems of the front line patient access areas. Essential Functions: 1. Organize and maintain a service‐oriented department providing leadership and training and 1. general personnel administration to registration staff. Acts as a primary contact source for questions related to patient access. 2. Responsible for development and recommendation of front line policies and procedures. 3. Responsible for Patient Access Work Queues and ensures billing data requirements for front line processes are completed. Uses dashboards to monitor accuracy and conducts training based on patterns & denials. 4. Responsible for communicating departmental goals and performance of front line Patient Access staff including staff work schedules and productivity/customer service standards. 5. Facilitate efficient flow of services either through direct management or support of a variety of functions. 6. Ensures that adequate procedures are established and maintained to provide consistent point of service collection, which may include providing estimates. 7. Works with other departments to coordinate and ensure proper flow of information to accurately and expediently bill third parties and patients. 8.
