Supervisor, Retirement (Hybrid)

Job Description

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of complex, large-scale non-union and union retirement plans. You will lead a team primarily responsible for administration of multiple defined benefit plans including pension estimates, calculations and various payment methods to optimize organizational performance and employee experience.

Job Responsibility

1.Proactively audits day-to-day operations of team, both individually and as a collective unit 

2.Provides exemplary customer service to team members with urgent or escalated inquiries/issues 

3.Promotes department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members 

4.Leads the activities of assigned team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives 

5.Decisions typically relate to schedule, plans and daily operations. Performs escalated or more highly complex work of a similar nature to that for which they oversee 

6.Leads team in day-to-day implementation activities of new products, services or techniques 

7.Receives limited supervision on standard issues, and detailed instructions on new assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy 

8.Majority of contact is within own function, may collaborate with other professionals outside of own function 

9.Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to predominantly nonexempt and entry level exempt team members

Job Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.  4-6 years prior technical experience preferred.  0-2 years leadership management experience preferred. Prior retirement experience with understanding of retirement plan design and implementation, preferred. Ability to develop/deliver dashboards to leadership relevant to retirement plan administration, preferred.
