Supervisor, Surgical Services
**Req Number** 138600 Job Description Supervises the pre and post-operative surgical services within an organization. Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Job Responsibility + Promotes Surgical Services department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. + Leads the activities of assigned Surgical Services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. Supervises the daily flow of supplies, devices, implants, and equipment required for procedural areas and the appropriate use of multiple inventory tools, automated supply units, and electronic handheld units. + Ensures procurement requisitions accurately represent clinical and cost requirements to meet customer and financial expectations. + Responsible for replenishment of owned, consigned, and manufacturer provided product; collaborates with procedure scheduling and suppliers to coordinate special order deliveries. + Responsible for planning and operations to ensure the right implants, devices and supplies are available to support clinical operations of the procedural areas and ensures high quality patient care by managing planned, and unplanned, requests for patient treatment. + Oversees proper functioning of equipment, cleanliness, and safety. + Schedules and assigns patient cases to the surgical staff. + Ensures that surgical services adhere to organizational directives, policies, and procedures. + Monitors the performance of the surgical staff, implementing procedural corrections when necessary. + Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. + Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification + Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. + 4-6 years of relevant experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
