Job Description

McDonald’s is seeking a collaborative and proactive individual who will clarify expectations, apply relevant standards and best-practices to craft and develop innovative solutions, POCs and fast fail concepts for our deployment services team.  This will be a collaborative role and will have influence and oversight over the front-end channel and backend systems to ensure consistency of product and integration of standard methodologies.  You’ll interface with McDonald’s vendors and numerous internal teams.  There’s no shortage of opportunity as the deployment services team oversees all technology delivered into the 13,500+ restaurants and just last year over a million software upgrades were performed.

Analyze new solution requests, solicits, and clarifies nonfunctional requirements, and works with developer team to formulate conceptual and physical architectures, to rapidly deliver solutions in a fast paced, multi-vendor, cloud-first environmentTriage technology proposals against existing infrastructure standards and best practices, and leads subsequent solution and variance activitiesDevelop, and implement sequencing, priorities, dependencies, and dashboards needed for solution packaging, testing, and deploymentsExperience in deployment roll out across network of geographically dispersed and high number of restaurant sites preferredBuild relationships across organization, specifically with McDonalds Product Engineering Managers and McDonalds development teamsWork with Product Engineering Managers to ensure that deployment services team backlogs are appropriately populatedAssist deployment services teams in removal of blockers during applicable sprintsDevelop understanding of development and deployment pipelines and corresponding tools leveraged by the deployment services teamParticipate in mapping of technical domains and ownership groups that aid in connecting teams to resolve blockers and drive efficient deploymentsDevelop understanding of testing processes and toolsPartner with Deployment Squads and Development teams to align on priorities and identify opportunities for improvements in the development and deployment pipeline

The expected salary range for this role is $98,140 - $125,130 per year

Qualifications

Required skills:

1-2 years of non-internship professional experience in Project ManagementBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experienceKnowledge of DevOps principles and Agile processesSelf-driven with strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated abilities driving operational excellence and best practicesAdvanced experience with Microsoft Office ApplicationsExperience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SmartSheets and PowerBIAble to work with culturally diverse teams across levels in a global organization and in an extensively outsourced environmentRecognize and communicate areas of opportunity for product, process, and service improvementsSolid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle including Agile development practicesExceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills
