The Global Security Threat Management Supervisor position ensures the team prepares proactive risk assessments for Chevron events, investigates threats against Chevron, assists Global Security advisors with investigative support, provides security services at Chevron events and supplies protective intelligence services to Global Security leadership.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Supervise staff in multiple locations across multiple time zonesEnsure proactive security risk assessments are conducted for events where Chevron is either a sponsor or an attendeeEstablishing a security mitigation plan for each event, including field security plans and intel monitoring parametersConfirm that each event security plan has been communicated to stakeholders and that security plans are aligned with Chevron goals and objectives for the eventManages an investigation and protective intelligence program that involves threats or incidents directed against executives, Board members, events or employees.Investigates disruptive incidents at Chevron and non-Chevron events to learn tactics, techniques and procedures of adversaries, and then applies learnings to new mitigation effortsReceives, reviews and triages requests for investigation support from all Global Security staff that conduct investigations, which exceeds 35 advisors across the world. Develops investigation plan with responsible investigator and then assigns tasks to staff for investigative analytical support.Partners with Chevron leadership and Law counterparts, and interfaces with Law Enforcement, as each investigation warrantsManages team that develops and disseminates protective intelligence products to support security efforts with Executives, Board members and special eventsVerifies that intel monitoring efforts are aligned with executive travelsIdentifies and monitors groups that have anti-Chevron ambitions, keeping internal stakeholders apprised and incorporating appropriate mitigation efforts into security plansLiaisons with industry peers, government officials, third party subject matter experts and vendors to stay abreast of latest threats and share information

Required Qualifications:

Experience managing teams, especially in multiple locations, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people10 years experience conducting complex investigations, to include threats to people and propertyDemonstrated experience planning and executing security plans at special eventsBachelor’s degree in related subjectExperience with social media monitoringStrong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to groupsDemonstrated history of teamwork, ethical decision making and excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with subordinates, peers and management at various levels Strong project management skills, with ability to oversee multiple projects and support multiple people simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a timely manner Strong interest in current events and world affairs Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Experience with diverse cultures and backgrounds, especially in support of business operations in non-US locations Critical thinking skills and problem solving aptitude; Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, then assess and evaluate effectivelyDomestic and international travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in related subjectInternational business or government experienceTraining and curriculum development in the threat management fieldExperience with technical security systems used in protection scenarios
