Supervisor, Traffic Technician
+ **Amentum** is seeking a **Supply Depot Operations – Traffic Management Supervisor** to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Traffic Management Supervisor will report to the Supply Depot Operations Superintendent and will serve as the principal technical advisor on all functions relating to the technical procedures and operations in the traffic management function. Supervises all processing of “Bills of Lading”, classifies shipments, inspects carriers, prepare associated reports, maintains section Quality Management System (QMS) and may provide training. **Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.** **Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.** ​ **Essential Responsibilities:** + Serve as principal technical advisor to the Manager on all functions relating to the technical procedures and operations in the traffic management function. Customarily and regularly directs the work of four (4) or more employees. Has the authority to hire and fire other employees or to recommend hiring, firing, promotion, change of status of employees. Work requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. Perform other related duties of the same or lower level of difficulty and may be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Maintain high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. + Supervise employees engaged in processing Bills of Lading, classifying shipments, inspecting carriers, preparing related reports, and negotiating with commercial carriers. Set priorities, assign tasks and organize work of the Transportation office. + Provide technical training to Traffic personnel to include one on one training, training material preparation, and other administrative training requirements as necessary. Interpret traffic regulations and their applicability to Depot operations. + Conduct research and review reference material and functional procedural guides used in daily traffic operations to insure that all data is technically accurate and up to date. Provide verbal and written reports, including CDRL reports as required. + Have thorough knowledge of the MTMS, ETA, ASIS Programs and other related computer programs associated with traffic functions. + Provide telephone/written responses to technical queries generated from ACO Traffic and/or other sources. Coordinate and schedule with commercial carriers for equipment + and services required. + Maintain the Quality Management System for the office. Responsible for document control in support of the Quality Management System. Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service. + Performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty, as needed. + Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. Reports potential or known safety or environmental hazards to the appropriate dept. or personnel. **Basic Qualifications:** + Must be 18 years or older. + High school diploma/equivalent. + Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain HWAD site access. + Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment. + Must be willing to work overtime. + Must be willing and able to be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. + Must be willing and able to work in a procedurally compliant environment. + Must be willing and able to work in an environmental and safety compliant environment. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license. **Minimum Qualifications:** + A.S. /A.A. in Transportation or Traffic Management or equivalent in education and experience. + Three (3) years of direct experience in traffic and transportation functions and operations as a Traffic Technician or equivalent. + Supervisory experience desirable. + Must satisfactorily complete the Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations required by AMC Regulation 350-4 within 90 days of hire. Maintaining current certification is a condition of continued employment. + Must have working knowledge of the Government Traffic System. + Must be able to provide technical Traffic training. + Have thorough knowledge of the MTMS, ETA, ASIS Programs and other related computer programs associated with traffic functions. + Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. + Must be able to operate a computer connected terminal device. Safety Sensitive This position is designated as non-safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the Hawthorne Army Depot Commander and HWAD O&M contract requirements. **Other Responsibilities:** Safety - Amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
