The Supervisor of Training is responsible for the training and ongoing performance management of a designated team of facilitators and content developers. Plans, directs, manages, and evaluates daily activities and team performance to ensure business needs and project deadlines are met with a high level of customer service to the company. Identifies areas for improvement and implements processes to increase efficiency and communication with other departments. Displays deep and strong understanding of business needs and partnership with department leaders/stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages the daily work activity and assignments of the team to ensure focus on priority tasks and removes any barriers to achieving results in defined deadlines. Provides coaching, feedback, and training that supports continuous improvement opportunities to meeting department objectives. Observes training sessions to identify opportunities for offering feedback to both team members regarding performance and business leaders/stakeholders regarding content, curriculum, trainee behaviors, and strategic initiatives. Provides guidance and support to the team regarding escalations, project updates, process questions, etc.
+ Leads large training projects such as software implementation, new initiative training, and recurring development workshops for high visibility teams. Acts as a subject matter expert/liaison between internal stakeholders and the department. Assists with developing learning activities, handouts, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, job aids, quick guides, and the like. Facilitates classroom training (i.e., both virtual and in-person) by utilizing a variety of training formats (i.e., simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, bite-sized lectures, etc.) to include systems, soft-skills, sales/customer service, and company-specific training in support of departmental KPIs.
+ Performs pre and post training administrative tasks related to onboarding (i.e., coordinating with recruiting, scheduling, and sending invites to new hires). Tracks, evaluates, and measures classroom learning outcomes, behaviors, and prepares progress reports for management. Administers post training surveys, and delivers skill, knowledge, and behavior outcomes to key stakeholders. Creates and delivers coaching and follow-up training plans as needed. Measures ROI for training classes offered based on post-training assessment results, learner retention rate 30-60-90, job performance impact, time to deliver, etc. Strategize ways to continuously improve training program(s) and curriculum.
+ Reviews and analyzes recorded calls, offering coaching and feedback to employees and department as needed. Recommends best practices and guidelines by identifying areas for improvement in employee demeanor, accuracy, and adherence to policy during issue resolution. Participates in monthly Quality Assurance meetings to ensure training content aligns with scoring expectations.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, public relations, communication, business, or a related field or minimum of five (5) years of experience in a training role.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience with virtual delivery programs.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in content development including creating and editing video tutorials using software such as Camtasia or other screen capture tools preferred.
+ One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
+ Experience with formal classroom facilitation of content both in-person and virtually.
+ Application of learning theories, instructional design, and adult learning principles.
+ Application of compliance and audit requirements.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Office 365 experience preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
+ Excellent public-speaking, classroom management, and learning validation skills.
+ Strong relationship management, organizing, and customer service skills.
+ Highly proactive, self-starter with the ability to work in a changing environment with strict deadlines.
+ Ability to quickly learn new software.
+ Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage the workflow on creative projects to ensure timely production.
