Warehouse Supervisor

Monday through Friday 10am – 7pm

Position Summary:

Supervises and coordinate activities of Warehouse Associates. Maintains inventory levels accurately by receiving, storing and delivering items and securing warehouse. Supervises and coordinates the activities of Warehouse Associates. Supports the Warehouse Manager with shipping and receiving functions.

 

Performance Expectations:

Receives and transfers materials as needed Maintains storage area through ensuring optimal utilization of space, including floor and racking space.  Maintains inventory by conducting physical counts, reconciling variances and inputting data where required Responsible to secure warehouse; turning on alarms and testing systems as needed Supports the Warehouse Manager in meeting operations standards by contributing to plans, resolving issues and identifying warehouse system improvements Participates in the recruiting and performance review process for Warehouse Associate staff Works with Warehouse manager to plan and monitor expenditures to meet budget requirements Perform other duties and projects as assigned  Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and: The Global Operating System Plays; OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard; ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard; TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards. Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors. Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy. Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements. Maintain department 5S requirements. 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

High School graduate  Three to five years of experience in a warehouse or related environment

 

Desired Characteristics:

One to three years of supervisory experience would be an asset. Must be detailed oriented Ability to multi – task Demonstrated communication skills; both verbal and written Strong time management skills in order to meet deadlines Ability to analyze information accurately Proficient with technology- Microsoft office Suite including Excel, Word and Powerpoint Strong organizational skills
