What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities in this role

Primary responsibilities include supervising a large hourly work group in a designated department.

This role is responsible for overseeing up to 25 hourly employees who conduct the following Inbound processes:Truck check-in and freight unloadingProduct receiptProduct putaway/stockingOrganization and maintenance of regulatory-required paperworkVendor relations and vendor performance trackingThis role is directly responsible for the following:Employee data tracking (available time off, attendance occurrences, policy violations, etc.)Personal, shift, and department metrics tracking1 on 1 meetings with employeesProject work and continuous improvement effortsCollaboration with other leaders across shifts and departments

Qualifications

College degree or relative experience preferred1-2 years related experience preferredStrong communication skillsLeadership skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office
