About the Role

The Water Meter Installation Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager at Bermex. This position will play a key role in interacting with customers, holding knowledge of industry standards, interfacing with management from within and outside of the department, and leading special initiatives in the water meter services department. This position requires a high degree of water meter knowledge, excellent time management, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

***Salary Transparency: Pay rate for this position is at $68,000/year.***

Water Meter Installation SupervisionIdentifies, investigates, and resolves issues ensuring deadlines are metPartners with customers, managers, utility, or other personnel to ensure customer satisfaction with ongoing communication, cooperative problem management, and regular feedback on goal achievement or obstacles experiencedWorks with Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reductionExplain and demonstrate work tasks to new workers or assign training tasks to experienced workersRecommends or implements personnel actions, such as employee selection, evaluation, rewards, or disciplinary actionsRecommend and implement measures to improve worker motivation, equipment performance, work methods, or customer servicesRequisitions needed personnel, supplies, equipment, parts, or repair servicesMeter Services AssistanceDrives vehicles or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workersInterprets transportation regulations, safety regulations, or company policies and procedures for workersPrepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, productivity, or work-related accidentsResolves worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolutionPerforms or schedules repairs or preventive maintenance of vehicles and other equipmentAssists workers in tasks, as needed, such as disconnecting and reconnection of consumer accounts, and water meter exchange and/or installations.Customer CommunicationHandle customer inquiries when applicable or refer customer complaints to the appropriate authorities,May provide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicableUse telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicate

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Degree/GEDExperience: Must be 21 years of age or older.1 or more years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associates Degree from accredited college or university2 + years of proven supervisory/management experience.Experience: Additional experience in utility supervision or a related field
